Shailendra Das joined Cook Children's Medical Center in 2012. Born and raised in Texas, Shailendra wanted to pursue a career in pediatrics ever since he was a young child. "It's a blessing to get to do what you love, and I enjoy going to work each and every day." Dr. Das's clinical interests include cystic fibrosis, airway disorders, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, and pulmonary complications of sickle cell disease.

An avid sports fan, Shailendra always roots for his hometown Houston sports teams. In his spare time, he enjoys running and playing various sports.
