Cook Children's
An all-single room NICU
Cook Children's Medical Center now offers the highest level of care in Tarrant County with our Level IV, all-single room Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
But what makes us even more unique is that our rooms are designed so that twins, triplets and quadruplets can stay together in one room. There is also room for parents to stay as well.
In fact, studies show that premature and medically fragile babies heal and grow faster when they are close to their mother. That's why we designed the all-single room NICU, so you don't have to leave your baby's side. We want to make your experience feel as close to home as possible, so you'll be comfortable while staying with your baby around-the-clock. You'll also have peace of mind knowing that you are surrounded by a dedicated staff that specializes in pediatrics to provide the highest level of care for your baby.
At Cook Children's, parents are the most important member of a baby's health care team. Our goal is for you to participate in the care of your baby as much as possible. Parents are not considered visitors in our unit. Here, you are a part of the team. And, you can stay with your baby as long as you want.
