Nursing externship program

Cook Children's nursing externship program offers an exceptional pediatric learning opportunity to enhance the extern's role transition, reinforcement of skills, and development of new knowledge.

Nurse externs will complete a 10-week program beginning in late May consisting of clinical experience and classroom activities. Externs may select placement from a varied list of clinical units.

BSN students with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA who will have completed 2 clinical courses may apply to Cook Children's nursing externship program.. The application period for the summer of 2013  is now closed.  Please check back in December for more information about our Summer 2014 program.
