Our team includes board certified pediatric pulmonologists, clinical nurse specialists, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, Child Life specialists, clinical dieticians and social workers. The professional opinion of each team member, including parents, is considered in developing a plan of care for your child. We place a high value on continuity of care with your primary pulmonologist.
A regularly scheduled pulmonary clinic provides patient and family education, assessments and follow-up care. Services include:
Children with acute and chronic respiratory complications and in need of ventilators or other breathing assistance are cared for in Cook Children Medical Center’s Transitional Care Unit. Clinicians there prepare children and their families for the transition from hospital to home.
