Countless families walk through the doors of Cook Children's every day. While each patient and family's journey is unique, one thing seems to be the same, experiences at Cook Children's can be life-changing in many different ways. Often these experiences inspire grateful families to give back. They find meaning and healing in “paying it forward” and making an impact on the lives of other children and families.

Each year, fundraising events benefiting patients at Cook Children's are held across our community. Each one is planned and organized by people who use their resources to raise awareness and funds for Cook Children's. Year after year, grateful patients and families pour their time and energy into events that range from lemonade stands to tennis tournaments, from fun-runs all the way up to acoustic concerts that draw a few thousand people.

For the event organizers, these events allow them to keep their connection to Cook Children's, create a legacy for their child or contribute to a specific program or department that is special to them. The passion and dedication of these event organizers who raise funds on behalf of Cook Children's is inspiring.

How to plan a fundraiser

Download guide and application

  • Email completed application to: or mail to Emilie Woerner, Cook Children's Health Foundation, 801 7th Ave., Fort Worth, TX, 76104.

Upon receipt of the application, Cook Children's Health Foundation staff will evaluate your event proposal and contact you to discuss. Your event must be approved in order to publicize that Cook Children's is a beneficiary or partner in your activity.

Funds raised are directed back to areas across the health care system, from helping fund new technology or treatments to supporting our therapy dog or creative arts programs. Whether the event supports the specialty that is nearest to that family's heart, or to the Children's Fund, which supports areas of greatest need, our Community Partners are an important part of fulfilling our Promise.
