Nationally Recognized Neurosciences Center

U.S. News and World Report

Once again the Jane and John Justin Neurosciences Center at Cook Children's Medical Center has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report in their Annual Best Pediatric Hospitals report. Ranked #29 this year (up from #40 in 2017), the Justin Neurosciences Center is recognized for excellence through a patient-centered approach providing exceptional outcomes, quality care, advanced technology, and research.  M. Scott Perry M.D., Medical Director of Neurology and Co-Director of the Neurosciences Center said, "Our significant jump in the national rankings reflects the hard work and dedication our staff puts into Neurosciences care at Cook Children's. Our ranking is even more rewarding since we don't offer residency or fellowship training, a significant contributor to a center's overall score. That means we reach this level of recognition based purely on the quality and calibre of the patient care we offer - the patient has always been our number one priority at Cook Children's." Dr. Perry notes that Cook Children's has been a special "secret" in pediatrics for North Texas, but word is getting out about the superior care offered in Fort Worth. The Justin Neurosciences Center has built a reputation as a leader in pediatric epilepsy and movement disorders and looks to continue advancing care through specialized programs in stroke, neurogenetics, demyelinating diseases, headache and more in the years to come.

Great outcomes begin with great input. Having a medical system where every department, doctor, and care team member works together means that your child can have quick access to testing, diagnosis and treatment, and that means better outcomes now and in the future.
