Visitor Information

Whether you're here for care or you're visiting one of our patients, we realize that being at a hospital can be stressful and even a bit confusing. The following information is designed to help make your time with us more comfortable. If you have any questions about this information or need help, please let us know. We want to make your stay or visit at Northeast Hospital as pleasant as possible.

Guest and visitor information

  • Visiting hours are from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Please limit the number of visitors in the room to four at a time. This does not include parents. Siblings and other children may visit, but another adult needs to be present at all times during their visit.
  • Meals are available for parents. Please see menu for available food choices. We also have a menu book available at the nurse's desk for area restaurants.
  • Please use your call light to contact the nurse or come to the desk receptionist with any questions or concerns about your child.
  • The telephone number to your room may be given to family and friends. Please dial 9 to get an outside line. You may also use your cell phone in the room.
  • If you need to leave the unit for any reason, you must checkout with the nurse before leaving. Patients cannot be left unattended except for a short period of time, and only if the staff is aware. Siblings and/or other children may not be left with the patient during this time.
  • ALWAYS keep the side rails up on your child's bed or crib when unattended or asleep.
  • We ask that a family member over the age of 18 stay with the patient during the night. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed to stay overnight, including brothers and sisters. Please make other arrangements for childcare during this time.
  • No one is allowed to sleep in the same bed/crib with a child under the age of 1. Because your child's safety is our top concern, there will be no exceptions to this rule.
  • There is a chair in the room that turns into a parent bed, please ask for assistance, if needed.
  • Linens, towels and pillows are available to you at any time.
  • No latex balloons are allowed due to allergies and choking risk.
  • No smoking is permitted on hospital grounds.
