Medical receptionist

Medical receptionists are responsible for performing front office functions relating to the coordination of a variety of scheduled services, in-take and checking out of patients in the clinic setting.

Patient access specialist/insurance specialist

These team members obtain insurance verifications, referral authorizations, process and follow up on insurance claims. They provide customer service when greeting and checking-out patients who visit Cook Children's, in addition to assuring that patients are scheduled to receive services in their assigned location.

Secretaries

Secretaries facilitate communication and operation of the unit/department by performing clerical duties and by acting as a receptionist for visitors and other Cook Children's personnel. Secretaries provide these services through teamwork, an emphasis on good customer relations and demonstrating appropriate decision-making capabilities.

Executive assistants

Executive assistants responsibilities include routine clerical support, as well as producing reports and presentations utilizing various graphic and spreadsheet software applications, coordination and support of regular meetings, special projects and events, taking meeting minutes and providing written and/or verbal communication with a wide range of internal and external individuals integral to conducting Cook Children's business.
