Dr. Barber is a native of Fort Worth, Texas. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas. Dr. Barber completed his residency in Pediatrics at Arkansas Children's Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas, and his fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, Texas.
He is currently the Associate Medical Director of the NICU at Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth, and is also an assistant professor of Pediatrics at the Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.
His interests include neonatal resuscitation, clinical research and electronic medical record development. Dr. Barber is a Neonatal Resuscitation Program instructor, serves on multiple hospital committees and has various teaching responsibilities. He has received numerous awards for both research and clinical excellence.
Dr. Barber is married and has two sons. He is an avid sports fan, enjoys football, baseball and attending hockey games.
