She extended her research in childhood cancer and immunology at St. Jude Children's Hospital, where she fell in love with pediatrics and decided to return to patient care. After completing her pediatric residency at Texas Tech University at Amarillo, Dr. Lian worked at Valley Children's Hospital and other community hospitals in California for four years, where she gained experience in caring for newborns and children. In 2021, Dr. Lian proudly joined Cook Children's.<br><br> Dr. Lian strives to build trust and a long-term relationship with her patients and their families. She believes that communication is the key to delivering evidence-based medicine and to helping her patients handle their health concerns and challenges. She is great at interacting with children of different ages. Her goal is to help her patients stay healthy, enjoy learning and have a bright future.<br><br> Dr. Lian enjoys learning emerging conditions, new therapies and innovative technologies so that she is always well prepared to deliver the best health care to her patients. To stay current on the latest developments in the field, Dr. Lian is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Texas Pediatric Society (TPS).<br><br> Dr. Lian has been married to her husband for 17 years and has two daughters.
