Dr. Simpson is a native Texan. She is board-certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine and received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch and fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX.
Dr. Simpson is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Medical Association.
She is an Associate Medical Director of the NICU and the ECMO Medical Director at Cook Children's Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Simpson is also active in her community. She serves on the board of the Texas Perinatal Association. She is an advisory board member for the Fort Worth Dallas Birthing Project and also serves on the Tarrant County Fetal Infant Mortality Community Review Team.
Dr. Simpson enjoys traveling to exotic countries to hike, scuba dive and experiencing other cultures.
