Meet Dr. Yvette R. Johnson
I was called to medicine by a passion to serve those in need, particularly the most vulnerable among us.
My interests outside of medicine include caring for my two children, spending time with family and friends, as well as participating in community Arts events, reading, and traveling.
Along with my clinical responsibilities caring for high-risk newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit, I have a particular interest in neonatal outcomes and developmental follow-up. My current role at Cook Children's Hospital is to serve as the Medical Director of the newly formed NICU graduate developmental follow-up program called the N.E.S.T. developmental follow-up Center.

When there was waiting time, the staff was very transparent. They were always patient with us. When I needed a tissue because the movie made me cry (lol) the lady behind the front desk didn't hesitate to give me some tissues for my issues. For this, I was delighted and thankful! I have not had one poor experience in our six years of visiting. God bless you all and thank you so much!

Vanessa, Claudia, Sandy, and Dr. Johnson. Each of these women were kind and the kindness flowed from their hearts. It was more than customer service or good bedside manner, it was genuine. Each of the ladies looked presentable, (and beyond, matching their shoes to their outfits). They were well informed, passing that information generously over to us in mentally digestible ways. (They told us plainly whatever it was that needed to be known concerning our situation.) I am thankful for the developmental and behavioral monitoring that this establishment has provided for my family. We always felt very safe, and the environment is pleasing in different ways, and when I needed help in years past, the staff was willing and eager to help us. Thank you all, and may God bless you richly and help you in every way as you all help so many of us. Your work is meaningful!

These wonderful ladies including Dr. Yvette Johnson were so welcoming and LISTENED to all of my concerns and offered immediate solutions that made sense. I truly felt that my newborn and family as whole were genuinely cared about. Moreover, I received many resources that aren't available via Google so I was extremely thankful. Lastly, I was given toys and formula options that alleviated my health concerns for (patient)! I absolutely love Dr. Johnson and would not want to see any other physician on (patient's) journey! Kudos team! The nurse was excellent as well although her name escaped me at this moment.

Everyone was great, but the Medical Assistant (maybe Claudia?) Was very personable and really helped my daughter come out of her shell and set her up for a good visit.
