Nursing Department
Nursing at Cook Children's Medical Center is about caring. The way we care for our patients and colleagues is guided by our Promise and values.
Exceptional clinical care
Everything our nurses do is focused on one thing: patient and family-centered care. We believe that in order to give children the highest level of care possible, we have to include the entire family. Research shows that family involvement helps patients recover from illness quicker, so our nurses always make parents partners in their child's care.
Magnet designation
Cook Children's Medical Center is proud to be a four-time Magnet®-designated organization. We recieved our first designation in 2006. Since then, Cook Children's has been redesignated three times, in January 2011, March 2016 and February 2021.
