Honored to achieve Magnet® recognition ... again

Nurse with patientIt's an honor to be placed among the very best the nursing profession has to offer. And for a decade, Cook Children's Medical Center has been included on that elite list of Magnet-designated hospitals recognized by the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC). The rigorous standards upheld by the Magnet Recognition Program provide us a framework for patient care delivery.

Our initial Magnet® designation occurred in 2006, with our first re-designation in early 2011. Cook Children's Medical Center was privileged to receive word on March 21, 2016, that we had once again achieved Magnet® designation for our nursing excellence and outstanding patient care. This recognition reaffirms that our collective efforts and shared commitment to our patients and families places us at the top in the field of nursing.
