Telemedicine visits

Cook Children’s pediatricians are partnering to provide telemedicine visits to help provide the quality pediatric care you expect from Cook Children's. These visits can be done from home on a phone, tablet or computer with a webcam. In preparation for a visit:

In order to schedule a telemedicine appointment with your pediatrician:

  • Request a visit by selecting the “Appointments” tab in MyChart or by calling their pediatrician’s office to set up an appointment. These appointments will be available during regular office times. When the time comes for a visit, patients go back to the appointments tab.

In addition to telemedicine visits, Cook Children’s pediatricians are actively working to help keep patients safe by direct messaging with patient families and providing phone visits when video is not an option. Messages can include a picture or video and can be sent through the MyChart “Messages” tab.

Visitation policy

One healthy adult will be allowed per patient inside our clinic. Siblings and other visitors will not be allowed.

NO WALK INS. Please call for an appointment and we will help you.

Well visits over 18 months of age will be rescheduled until a later date. Necessary well visits will occur in the morning and sick visits will only be seen in the afternoon.

MASKS: Parents and families, as we continue to follow the recommendations from the CDC, if you have an appointment at our Dodson clinic, our urgent care centers, or any of our other clinics or primary care offices, please bring and wear your own cloth face covering from home.
