At Cook Children's Renaissance Neighborhood Clinic, taking care of kids means including the whole family. We take the time to listen to you and your child, answer questions and help you navigate parenthood.

Our doctors are specialists in the health care of infants, children and adolescents. Our team includes board certified pediatricians that, together with you, will get your kids on the path to leading happy and healthy lives.

Felixia Cates, BSDH, RDH

Felixia Cates, BSDH, RDH

Felixia Cates joined Cook Children's in 2014 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Del Mar College in 2013 and received her Bachelors in Dental Hygiene from the University of UT Health San Antonio.

Her goal is to create a safe environment for not only her patients, but also for the parents and/or caregivers. She believes it is a family effort to achieve a successful dental visit for those that may be afraid of the dentist. Felixia feels it is a blessing to have the opportunity to meet and serve the dental needs of her community. Thanks to her amazing dental team they have the ability, wisdom and knowledge to accommodate the needs of their patients.

Felixia resides in Burleson with her husband and amazing son. When she is not working she ejoys spending time with her family, loves the outdoors and is also a foodie!

Candle Johnson, CPNP

Candle Johnson, CPNP

Candle Johnson completed her Bachelors of Science in nursing degree in 2007 from Midwestern State University, Texas. In 2007, Candle worked as a registered nurse in the pediatric Hematology/Oncology department at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. After nine years of caring for children with blood and cancer disorders, Candle attended Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas and in May 2016 she obtained her Master's degree in nursing to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. In September 2016, Candle joined Cook Children's Neighborhood Clinic - Renaissance, where she can fulfill her desire to improve the health of children through the prevention and treatment of illness, disease and injury. Candle is board certified in primary care.

Candle resides in Tarrant County with her husband and daughter.
