Outpatient Therapy
We assist children and their families with a variety of issues ranging from consultation on child rearing, behavioral challenges and development to adjustment with divorce, or more chronic issues such as mood disorders and abuse/trauma intervention.
Our staff is comprised of both licensed psychologists and therapists, with training in pediatric and adolescent therapy techniques.
The child, parents and clinicians work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan with specific results. Sessions may occur in one hour sessions, once a week, twice a month or as needed.
We have seven outpatient clinic locations in Fort Worth, Denton, Hurst-Euless-Bedford, Southwest Fort Worth, Mansfield and Southlake.
Types of therapy
Therapy is designed to engage children and adolescents in an environment that is nurturing and developmentally appropriate. Because play is a natural way for children to engage in the world and develop new coping skills, it is a vital part of treatment. We include games and activities to encourage the participation and interest of older adolescents.
Clinicians provide an eclectic mix of techniques including play, art, family counseling, parent training, filial therapy, evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy and “talk therapy” when age appropriate.
