Respiratory Care
From micro-preemies to full-term babies, the neonatal and pediatric pulmonology specialists at Cook Children's are experts in evaluating, treating and managing respiratory failure in newborns, including the use of noninvasive respiratory support. Our team of neonatologists, pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, neonatal nurses and surgeons is experienced with managing the full range of congenital or acquired airway problems.
For infants with severe lung or heart conditions who don't respond to traditional respiratory support therapies, we provide advanced technologies such as high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
