Our doctors are specialists in the health care of infants, children and adolescents. Our team includes board certified pediatricians that, together with you, will get your kids on the path to leading happy and healthy lives.
Meet our nurse practitioners
Tara Haraldson, RN, MSN, CPNP
Tara Haraldson joined Cook Children's in 2009 as a registered nurse in the emergency department. She completed her bachelor's degree at TCU in 2007, where she competed in swimming all four years. After several years of working as a nurse in adult and pediatric care, Tara attended UTA and obtained her masters as a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner. She joined Cook Children's Willow Park upon graduation in 2013. She is a three time recipient of the Clinical Excellence in Pediatrics Award from UTA and is currently a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
Tara enjoys building relationships with families and takes special interest in the promotion of breastfeeding and nutrition for all ages. She also likes caring for athletes and helping them stay in top condition.
Tara and her husband, Sam, live in Fort Worth where he works as an emergency room physician. They have four kids. In her free time, she enjoys running, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Ashley McLaughlin, RN, CPNP
Ashley McLaughlin completed her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M in 2008. She joined Cook Children's in 2009 as a registered nurse in the hematology and oncology unit. After six years of caring for children with blood and cancer disorders, Ashley attended The University of Texas at Arlington and obtained her master's degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner. After graduating, Ashley went to work in the Cook Children's Urgent Care Center as a nurse practitioner. In July of 2018, she joined the Cook Children's Willow Park clinic where she enjoys working with patients as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Ashley is board certified in both primary and acute care.
Ashley has a passion for helping others, especially children. Ashley grew up in Weatherford and currently lives in Aledo with her husband, daughter and son.
Ashlee Skrhak, RN, CPNP
Ashlee Skrhak completed her Bachelor's Degree from Baylor University in 2012. She joined Cook Children's in 2012 as a Registered Nurse completing the Pediatric Nurse Residency Program and placed in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in 2013. After almost ten years of caring for children with congenital heart disease Ashlee attended The University of Texas at Arlington and obtained her Master's Degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. In July of 2022 Ashlee joined the Cook Children's Willow Park clinic where she enjoys caring for pediatric patients and their families.
Ashlee currently lives in Fort Worth with her husband and daughter. In her free time she enjoys walking, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Ashley Waldrop, MPAS, PA-C, IBCLC
Ashley graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutrition. She completed her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center in 2015. She has over 8 years of experience working as a PA in a pediatric primary care clinic. In January 2020, she broadened her scope of practice by becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
She lives in Aledo with her husband Ben, and three children, Adelynn, Kinsley and Jacob. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching her kid’s activities.
