Cook Children's Endocrinology team treats infants, children and teens with conditions that are caused by or affect the hormonal balance of the body. We understand the importance of working together and that's how we approach the care of our children.

As part of our collaborative nature, we have access to the full support of a wide array of our pediatric specialties including genetics, hematology-oncology and other specialties that might be required to support your child's specific issue. Your child will also have access to state-of-the-art testing and diagnostics. Our team, comprised of board certified pediatric endocrinologists, certified pediatric nurse practitioners, certified educators, psychologists and other pediatric specialists, creates individualized treatment plans incorporating the latest technological advances in diagnosis and care.

Cook Children's Orthopedics provides comprehensive treatment for children and adolescents with sports injuries, traumatic injuries, congenital and developmental problems of the extremities and spine.

Our orthopedic physicians focus on each patient's individual needs and work together with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, orthotists and subspecialists to provide the best possible care.

Cook Children's Pediatric Surgery provides the best care available for your child from doctors who are specifically trained to perform surgery on kids.

When your child requires surgery, you want to be certain that you are receiving the most advanced care possible from the most experienced medical team. The Pediatric Surgery team at Cook Children's specializes in many surgical conditions, from simple to the most complex, and many of these procedures are performed using minimally invasive techniques.

Our psychiatry department helps children, ages 2-17, and their families who are experiencing behavioral, neurodevelopmental and emotional challenges. Our staff is specifically trained to work with young patients and our psychiatrists are board certified in child and/or adolescent psychiatry.

Our treatment team works together to help re-establish the family unit as the most important influence in the child's life. That way, the child's care can be maintained at home whenever possible.

Patient and therapist

Our psychology department provides therapy and diagnostic testing to children, ages 2 to 18, and behavioral consulting to their families. We engage children and adolescents in environments that are nurturing and developmentally appropriate for their specific needs. Our staff is specifically trained to work with young patients and our psychologists are board certified in child and/or adolescent psychology.

We treat children who are experiencing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning and developmental disabilities, mood disorders, anxiety and other adjustment issues.

Our therapy methods include play therapy, trauma-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and collaborative problem solving.

Our therapists and psychologists work together with you and your child/teen to develop a custom treatment plan to help achieve specific agreed upon results.



At Cook Children's Rehabilitation Services, we understand that no two children are alike. That's why we offer four types of therapy plans, tailored specifically for your child and his/her needs. We want to make every appointment unique for each family.

Cook Children's Rehabilitation team members include doctors, surgeons, audiologists and speech-language pathologists and physical and occupational therapists. Other professionals may be added to a child's "team" if needed. We offer physical, occupational, speech and audiology therapy for kids.

Evaluations will be done by a licensed clinician who will develop a specific therapy plan for your child. The clinician will include the family in the planning to help identify specific functional abilities or goals for the patient. The therapy plan will include how often therapy will occur and how long it's expected to last. It will also show how the patient will make progress toward their goals and outcomes.

It's hard enough to be a kid. At Cook Children's Pediatric Rheumatology we try to make it a little easier.

Most people think of things like arthritis, scleroderma or Crohn's disease as something that only older adults get. But kids get these and many other conditions as well. At Cook Children's, we here to help kids and teens with things like persistent arthritis and joint pain, symptoms associated with autoimmune diseases and much, much more.

Pediatric Urology

As part of our new Pediatric Urology department, the Genitourinary Research, Education and Treatment (GREAT) Kids program is led by a team of world-renowned medical professionals with expertise in both common and rare genitourinary diseases and conditions to the children of North Texas and beyond.

The Cook Children's urology/genitourinary team specializes in providing advanced care for newborns, infants, children, teens, and young adults with acquired or congenital urologic and genitourinary ailments.

Telemedicine Services

With Cook Children's Telehealth and Virtual Medicine program, your patient families can virtually connect to Cook Children's specialists in real-time, without the time and expense of having to travel to Fort Worth. The clinic is staffed with specialized diagnostic equipment that allows our physicians to virtually examine the patient. They can review recent lab work, tests and scans with patient families, just as if they were in the office. Additionally, we also offer telehealth services with dietitians, social workers, psychologists or counselors for patient education, dietary consultations and more.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Referral/Admittance

Refer to our Level IV all-single room neonatal ICU which provides heart rate observation (HeRO) technology, ECMO and hypothermia therapies, as well as integrated cardiac monitoring, infant stroke, preemie care, and other critical neonatal medical conditions.
