When a fever strikes or an ankle gets sprained after hours or on the weekend, Cook Children's urgent care centers are here to help. At Cook Children's urgent care centers, you can get things like X-rays, stitches, and care for illnesses that aren't life-threatening but need medical attention the same day.
COVID-19 screening: Cook Children's staff will screen patients for any potential COVID-19 exposure and evaluate symptoms. If the screen is positive then the family will be instructed to please return to their vehicle. If the patient is stable and does not need immediate attention, the family will be given their next steps.
Cook Children's Urgent Care clinics are only able to perform rapid COVID-19 testing when your child's symptoms are in line with our testing criteria. We are unable to perform rapid testing on a child without symptoms.
We have virtual visits (telemedicine) as an option for a visit with a provider. If you would like to register for a virtual visit, please click here and register for MyCookChildren's, then follow the instructions to request a virtual video visit.
For emergencies, know where to go
